Input/Output Description and LEDs

The Power LED lights up GREEN and will stay on while the Gateway is powered on. When the Gateway goes through its self-diagnostic mode during every boot-up, this LED will flash GREEN. When the diagnostic cycle is complete, the LED will be GREEN and solidly lit.

The Internet icon. It is solid green to indicate it is connected to the Internet and to the Jetlun server. Blinking orange indicates that it is connected to the Internet but not connected to the Jetlun server. Solid orange indicates that the internet is down and no connection to the Jetlun server.

The SD LED lights up GREEN when you have an SD memory card plugged into the memory slot located on the back of the Gateway. When there is no SD memory card plugged in, this LED will NOT be lit.

These numbed LEDs, corresponding with the numbered ports on the Gateway’s back panel, serve two purposes. If the LED is continuously lit GREEN, the Gateway is successfully connected to a device through that port. A flashing LED indicates network activity over that port.

The HPCC LED continuously lights up GREEN when the Gateway is successfully connected to another HPCC (narrowband powerline) device on the network. If the LED is flashing, the Gateway is actively sending or receiving data over the network. If the LED is flashing RED, the Gateway is experiencing collisions on the network.

The HPAV LED continuously lights up GREEN when the Gateway is successfully connected to another HPAV (broadband powerline) device on the network. If the LED is flashing, the Gateway is actively sending or receiving data over the network. If the LED is flashing RED, the Gateway is experiencing collisions on the network.

When the ZigBee Mode is Slave, the ZigBee LED continuously lights up GREEN when the Gateway is successfully connected to another ZigBee device on the network . If the LED is flashing Orange, gateway is searching for ZigBee network.

When the ZigBee Mode is Master, the ZigBee LED is solid green when gateway forms a ZigBee network. If the LED is solid Orange, gateway allows other ZigBee Devices to join the gateway’s ZigBee network.

The Power port is where you will connect the power adapter.

There are two ways to reset the Router’s factory defaults. Either press and hold the Reset Button for approximately five seconds, or restore the defaults with your computer from Administration > Factory Defaults in the Gateway’s web-based utility.

The SD/MMC port is where you will plug in an SD memory card.

These Ethernet ports (1, 2, 3, 4) connect the Gateway to PCs on your wired network and other Ethernet network devices.
